The scientific program of ICIS'23 will offer plenary sessions of invited and contributed oral presentations and two Poster sessions. The scientific program will cover themes of the ion sources science and technology that are relevant to the production of ion beams for scientific research and for applications.

Abstract Submission

Please first register for the conference.

NOTE: To qualify for the early registration rate, full payment is due prior to midnight PDT, July 24, 2023.

Information can be found on the Registration tab for ICIS'23 conference. You will be directed to the TRIUMF In-house registration page and once registered, you will receive an email as confirmation of your registration.

 

ICIS'23 will be using TRIUMF'S Indico site.

 

How to submit an abstract:

  • Click on the Call for Abstracts link in the left hand panel of the Indico page.
    You will be taken to the TRIUMF Indico log in page.
    If you already have a TRIUMF Indico account, enter your User Name and Password.
    If you do not have a TRIUMF Indico account, create one by clicking on the link provided and completing the form.
  • Once you are in the Call for Abstracts window
    Choose: Submit New Abstract
  • Enter your abstract data into the fields. Preference is for you to re-type rather than cut & paste. 
    This version of Indico supports LATeX.
  • Please identify a Speaker.  If you are unsure at this time it is fine to choose someone and later we / you re-visit and update the abstract.
  • All presentations, except Invited Talks, are Poster by default. The Scientific Program Committee will choose the presentation type. If your preferance is Contributed Oral, please indicate this and the committee will take this into consideration during the review process.
  • Enter the primary and co-authors.
  • Identify which track classification (session) the abstract should appear in at the conference.
  • When you have entered your data and checked it, click on the submit button at the foot of the page.
  • All paid-in-full registrations include one (1) paper for publication in the proceedings.
  • Abstracts identified as a second abstract by a presenter will not be considered for publication. Authors wishing to publish an additional abstract of their choosing may do so. Fees apply. Each additional manuscript is subject to a $125CAD fee with acceptance of the paper. You will be contacted by the editorial staff with instructions on how to submit payment.

Please note:

Once submitted, you will have the option to modify your abstract by clicking on the My Contributions link before the submission deadline. 

Upon completion please record your ABSTRACT ID number.  You will need to return to the TRIUMF in-house Registration page and insert the Abstract ID in the field asking for this.

Reminder: The Program Committee will convene after the submission deadline to review the abstracts in order to determine the final presentation type.

Indico Profile:  If you need to update your TRIUMF Indico profile data, you must be logged in and then click on the link associated with your name in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

 

Presenters will be notified of their acceptance and presentation type by the Scientific Program Chair by June 2023
